My Fav Youtubers!

Hello! So I thought I'd change things up a bit and share with you all my current Youtuber favs! Everytime I look in my subscription box, they are the ones I get the most excited about!:)

1.Claire Ashley from Ultimakeover
Better

My sis first introduced me to Claire Ashley because she really felt like a youtuber we'd be friends with in real life! She is so genuine, nice and has the best makeup tutorials! I feel like there are plenty of youtubers that go for dramatic makeup looks but Miss Claire offers wearable and beautiful looks that are so feminine, chic, and classy! She's also recently been doing some vlogs that are so entertaining and makes you feel like you're part of the vlog as well!
Go Claire! :)

2. Anna from ViviannaDoesMakeup

I've been watching Anna grow so much within the past year! Her vlogs with Lily Pebbles are so entertaining! Although I don't live in the  UK, it's nice to have a glimpse of it through her and Lily's vlogs (their accents are a plus too)! I admire her hardwork and dedication to her blog, as she recently won a Bloglovin' award!
Go Ana!:)

3. Katherin from Kaaatherin

Katherin is actually from Chile and her videos are in Spanish but don't let that stop you from watching! For me,Youtube is a place to learn-even new languages and people. Although I grew up speaking Spanish, I still feel like I need to learn more and watch other youtubers to gain knowledge on their culture and language*! Of course Katherin is sweet, friendly and basiclly your best friend from another country! I love her editing skills and her accent so much!
Saludos Katherin!:)

* Many people aren't aware that different Spanish-speaking countries have different accents and customs. It's a bit offensive if you squeeze them all into one category.*

4. Alexis from French Guy Cooking

Alexis is one of the few guy youtubers I watch, and for good reason! He's so entertaining! He's your classic French Chef, but more like you're cool French bestfriend! He shows you how to cook delicous and easy things, most are French inspired but he definitely mixes it up now and then! His videos are sure to keep you entertained and leave you with a good taste (pun intended)!
Go Alex!

5. Pemberley Digital: Emma Approved

I don't even think I need to explain how much I loved this webseries! I've always loved Jane Austen's novels and when I came across The Lizzie Bennet Diaries webseries based on Pride & Prejudice, I was seriously addicted! I then began to watch Emma Approved based on Emma, that's when I was like, WHERE THE FLIP HAVE I BEEN?! They came out with new episodes every Monday and Thursday and I was so excited to see them, you should've seen me in June! Even on vacation, I hunted down wifi like no other just to watch them. Oh gosh, I sound like a crazy person! Anywho, if you like a good story or if you're a Jane Austen fan like me, you'll love this!

Tell me who you're watching! I'd love to hear!:)

The goldbrushes.

Happy Friday everyone! Can 10 brushes for $8 be real?! Is it worth it?
Then keep on scrolling to find out!

As you can see I definitely have been 'testing' these to bits!:) Nevertheless, I wanted to review each brush individually starting with

1. Angled stipple brush
I love using this to blend and contour with darker foundations on the temples, cheekbones and jawline but the brush had plenty of  fallout.

2. Flat top stipple brush
I thought this would be the best for foundations but it didn't blend well and it had plenty of fallout.

3. Contour brush
I have no complaints! It contoured beautifully and DID NOT have fallout!:)

4. Kabuki brush
I am so sad that this brush had the MOST fallout, it was the best at blending/ buffing foundations!

5. Angled Kabuki brush
I use this with my shimmer cubes ( highlighter) on my cheek bonesand love how it does so perfectly!:) But this brush again has plenty of fallout.

Overall: Although these brushes are soft, dense, and cheap, only after the first few washes*did these began to have fallout (look closely at the picture below). Also, I had to glue 2 of them back together because they were poorly attached. These are NOT worth buying.

* I wash my brushes with a mix of olive oil/dishsoap and dry them upside down*
Brushes listed in order from Left to Right

Negative review aside, here's a more positive one on the

The Eye Set:
1. Small stipple brush
I love how beautifully it blends out even the harshest colors.

2. Crease blender brush
If I don't use brush #3, I opt for this one for a softer look.

3. Eye contour brush
This is dense enough but soft enough to work into the crease of the eyes and is literally my favourite!

4. Angled brush
This one is great for a smokey look.

5. Angled stipple brush
Again, great for blending.

Overall: These have little to no fallout and blend eyeshadows beautifully! I definitely recommend these and the price is just as amazing!:)
Brushes listed in order from Left to Right

The shipping:
I ordered these from Dresslink with free shipping and from China to California- this took about 3-4 weeks to arrive. You can definitely pay $5-10 more for faster service but I was just being cheap!:) Despite free shipping, the brushes still came in tact!:)

Thanks for reading everyone! Hope my in-depth review wasn't too long!:)

The august favs.

A bit late on this one, but these products are worthy of my first monthly favorites! They are:

2.Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation (Natural Beige 60)

Keep in mind I don't have mature skin yet but I just wanted to decrease the visible laugh lines and creases under my eyes that make my face look older than it should. So I used this for about a month after I cleansed my face and before I applied my moisturizer. But come on lets get to it! Did it work? Would you repurchase?YES. I saw a dramatic change in the laugh lines and under eye creases! They're not 100% gone but I think that a good decrease in the visibilty of my lines for the cost of an affordable cream is ok with moi :)

Foundation left, Eyeshadow right
Could this really be a dupe for the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation?! Well I've never tried it but what I can say is that this foundation is definitely worthy of trying out! I love the satin finish! It's not too dewy and not too matte. I love that you can build this up to a medium-full coverage! I don't think you'll be disappointed with this product, in fact, this might just be for all skin types :)

3. Wet n' Wild Single Eyeshadow
This is such an affordable and all around necessary eyeshadow color that allows you to go from a natural to dramatic look.I use it as a base color on the lids and I love the color because it's a nice cream color that doesn't look or feel  chalky. It can also be used on the browbone as a highlighter!

4. Mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette
This is basically the first highlighter I've ever tried and WOW.You can use this as a highlighter, eyeshadow, lipstick, haha joking on the last one!Unless your'e into that, then by all means! I love how you can swish your brush and combine all the colors to get a beautiful glow that isn't too IN YOUR FACE, instead its a natural glow, don't get me wrong, you can pack this thing but it looks great with a quick application on the cheekbones, browbones, and inner corner.Trust me,you'll get compliments and the best part? These are creamy and are not a glittery mess!

Thanks for reading beautifuls!

The wet n' wild megalast lipsticks.

Hello everyone! So I'm super behind on this lipstick hype, but I seriously cannot wait to share with you all why these lipsticks definitely deserved it! When I did my cousins makeup on Saturday, she tied it on and literally was like
 " I NEED THIS."

Mauve Outta Here and Bare It All

I've watched plenty of Youtube tutorials to narrow down which ones I wanted to try out and swatch. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge red lipstick fan because nudes, pinks, and mauves are my faves! Although they give a matte finish, they are actually creamy, non-drying and stay on your lips for quite a while! I absolutely love the shades I chose because they are so wearable and I think will definitely compliment any skin tone! They are sooo rich and pigmented, I love them. You seriously can't beat the price.

Pros: price, pigmented, creamy, long lasting, shade selection
Cons: cheap packaging

You can pick these up at your local drugstore for $2-3.
Fall in love with these lipsticks, because I know you will!
( pun intended because it's almost fall!) :)

I'm on bloglovin'!

Do you have a blog? Because I would looooooooooooove to follow yours back! :)

The FITme collection.

Goodmorning Beauties! :) I've been trying out this foundation for a few weeks now and am now ready to tell you if it's worth it!

Maybelline FITme foundation - 230
Maybelline FITme shine free foundation - 240

So I purchased the FITme foundation along with the foundation stick to use a concealer. I liked that this foundation matched more of my skin-tone than other foundations that I've tried and that it gave me a nice medium coverage providing a kind of  dewy look but it was a bit too heavy on my skin later causing my skin to break out and I noticed that it tended to fade throughout the day.The foundation stick is pretty thick and creamy but it blends well! The foundation stick had excellent coverage but I do wish there was more product! I would definitely use this for fuller coverage looks and even use a darker shade to contour.I would probably try this if you have dry to combination skin  but definitely not oily skin.

The happy eye makeup remover.

I love makeup but sometimes you just want it to slide ride off without having raccoon eyes or damaging your skin from excess scrubbing and later causing wrinkles!

So here are my quick lifesavers:
Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover lotion $1
Avon 3-in-1 Cleansing lotion $2

(1) I first like to use the cleansing lotion to break down all the makeup. Squeeze a good amount to both ring fingers and close your eyes to gently rub the eyelashes and eyelids of unruly makeup.

(2) In circular motions, remove the makeup and rinse with water. The formula is gentle enough to not sting your eyes too badly so really work it in.Rinse and repeat if necessary.

(3) For the extremely rebellious makeup, pour the lotion on a cotton swab or perhaps a cotton ball  and wipe away the makeup.

(4) Follow up with your regular face regime and make sure to moisturize moisturize moisturize!

Hope I helped out all the raccoon eyes out there! :)

The hair essentials.

While in the summer I like to give my hair a break from heat, I tend to use more products that really refresh and repair my hair. I also just got a haircut so I definitely want to keep it as healthy as possible :)
Here are some of my essentials:

L'oreal Elnett Hairspray
I usually use this product year round but I absolutely love it when I do some heatless curls because it really allows them to stay in place!

Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner
You remember that good old, " If you were stranded on an island what 3 things would you bring?", question? Well yes, you guessed it! This would be the 1/3 things I would bring!you really have to massage it into the scalp but your hair will thank you for it because it's free of sulfates/parabens! Btw the minty smell that lingers for 24+ hours is always amazing too!

Avon Moroccan Argan Oil
When I had my long hair I used to absolutely drench my ends with this and it was so worth it! I used it after I took a shower. It smells great and now since I cut my hair, it really gives my ends some extra shine and moisture!

Clips
These clips that I got from Sally's Beauty supply are quite versatile. When using a curling iron I can use them to set the curls in place or in this case, I use it on 80% dry hair and pin the curls in place. If you leave them in longer and take smaller sections, you get tighter curls.  And if you take larger sections and keep them in for a shorter time you get this:

Hope you can give your natural locks a break and follow me for more heatless hairstyles :)

The summer craze.

So I just had to do this blog post because these are on sale for $3 and they are absolutely amazing! My mom first purchased one because it was on sale but once she wore the Metallic Sands one as a liner, we were both in shock at how well they performed!

They are crazy pigmented and don't even crease! And they have 2 colors so you are definitely getting your moneys worth! For only $3 each, my mom just had to buy all of them, I think these can easily be used as a liner, highlighter, base for eyeshadows, etc. Whether it's summer or winter, I would definitely use these year round!

Crayons Shown from Left to Right
Island Waters, Metallic Sands, Tropical Orchid, Coral Crush

Hope you give them a try and follow my blog for more reviews! :)

The foundation collection.

Goodmorning all! Today's blog post will feature just some of my AVON foundations, while not all are my favourite, they are truly meant for different skin types so you'll have try them out for yourself just in case!

Without further or do let's get to it!

Avon Ideal Flawless BB Cream SPF 15 - Medium Deep
Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage liquid foundation SPF 15 - Medium Beige
Avon Extra-lasting liquid foundation SPF 12 - Medium Beige
Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation SPF 10 - Natural Beige
Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation SPF 15 - Medium Beige

Medium Deep, Medium Beige, Medium Beige, Natural Beige, Medium Beige

Avon Ideal Flawless BB Cream (SPF 15) - Medium Deep $10
This foundation is slightly sheer but buildable. It has a slight shimmer to the formula but it actually makes the skin look quite glowy and have a summery dewy look!It looks quite flattering but if you're out all day in the sun with sweaty oily skin, it might not look so great. This is very much an every day foundation but I would consider using a setting powder to really lock things in place. I do want to purchase one in a shade lighter for the colder months to see how it does!

Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage liquid foundation (SPF 15) - Medium Beige $8

This foundation reminds me of the BB cream, only it gives fuller coverage. Everyone seems to be a big fan of this foundation but for me,the formula made me break out. It also oxidized* so I my skin looked a bit orangey and more yellowish than when I did when I first applied it.I liked that the foundation was very buildable and in fact looked skin like but the foundation was somewhat heavy on my skin. Setting powder is also needed!

Avon Extra-lasting liquid foundation (SPF 12) - Medium Beige $10

This foundation was also a bit heavy but it was understandable because the formula is meant to last you all day. The coverage was great and it definitely didn't get shiny for at least 5+ hours! This has more of a matte-satin finish and it really sets in your skin. This is great for those long days at work or school. But I do have to say that the formula is a bit heavy so it might not suit some skin types. Especially if you don't want it setting in fine lines a beauty blender. I think this one would work great with

Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation (SPF 10) - Natural Beige $8

Avon Magix Cashmere Finish liquid foundation (SPF 15) - Medium Beige
I've used this one more often because it's REALLY natural looking! You may need to set this or use a primer to really make this one last but  I enjoyed this formula because it truly feels lightweight and is very buildable thus I can wear this everyday.! I love how natural it looks and how it gives just the right amount of radiance.I don't think I've ever broken out with this foundation!

*Side note: Most Avon foundations tend to oxidize.

Hope that helped! Thank you for reading :)
